Current latest: Hotfix 10
Official Steam news places Update 8 as the latest named major update in the registered sequence and Hotfix 10 as the current latest patch on August 25. Hotfix 10 adds further camera improvements, fixes the performance regression introduced by the previous hotfix and repeats that POI fast travel can be enabled under Accessibility.
The official posts do not require an invented decimal version label. Refer to the named update and hotfix when comparing a guide, save or bug report.

Update 8 guide-relevant changes
Update 8 reports improved performance on lower-end systems and adds low-VRAM texture-loss protection, while warning that texture loss may still occur at higher graphics settings. It also includes current changes touching perks, weapons and spells and moved Bartolomaeus for Mentoring Magic.
The move is useful current quest context, but it does not establish a complete Bartolomaeus route, schedule or every save-state outcome.
Hotfixes 9 and 10
Hotfix 9 documents an exception when Bartolomaeus was already met and spawned in the current save. It also changes custom mouse waypoint placement to right click only and adds POI fast travel under Accessibility; Hotfix 10 repeats that accessibility option.
Use Hotfix 10 as the first comparison point for a current report. An older save can still carry state created before these changes, so save age belongs in quest and navigation diagnostics.
Update 7 changed navigation and races
- Added Uruhan as a playable race.
- Added a race change mirror on the southern shore.
- Added the `changeappearance` command and more race-reactive dialogue.
- Added more POIs and TES3-style quest-area guidance on the map.
- Added the option to disable shadows for a significant performance improvement.
- Refined and rebalanced spell crafting.
Earlier update context
Update 6 added the Jump spell and `resetcamera`, improved map and companion behavior, clarified quest directions, relaxed some quest requirements, increased alchemy XP and addressed several multiplayer and texture-streaming problems. Hotfix 5 added a craftable Unlock spell, teammate teleport through a map marker, quest fixes, NPC persistence work and VRAM or texture changes.
Hotfix 4 records multiplayer stability work, GPU texture work, an integrated-GPU selection attempt and the restoration of Spongestone. These are historical patch facts, not guarantees about every current save.
