Evidence states for this patch
| State | What qualifies | Current example |
|---|---|---|
| Officially fixed / addressed | Developer names a shipped fix | Bow camera, shields, missing fast travel, companion dismissal, delayed co-op ghosts |
| Officially changed | Intentional patch-note behavior | Rolling removed for now; restoration over time; hidden shared effects |
| Community report / unconfirmed | Attributed player evidence, not a reproduced finding | No specific thread has been verified for publication for this archive |
| Site reproduced | Documented test with build and steps | None claimed |
| Resolved later | Later patch or repeat test establishes resolution | No later resolution claimed |
Control conflicts need input context
The announcement lists R/B for switching, Q for keyboard autorun and PC keys 1–8. A conflicting observation should include device, Steam Input profile, remaps, new/legacy equip mode and tap/hold behavior. The official defaults must not be rewritten from an unattributed complaint.
The rolling removal is explicit in the note. If a player reports otherwise, retain both the official statement and the unverified observation until a reproducible current-build test can explain the difference.
Save and loading investigation
A save or loading failure needs a reproducible record before it can be classified as an Update 17 regression. Back up a save before experimentation, record when it was created, the build last used and the exact load path or error.
For co-op, distinguish host world state from guest character state and record whether a disconnect alert appeared. The developer’s stability and delayed-ghost fixes do not prove every save issue has the same cause or has been resolved.
Next steps and evidence
This guide summarizes the official announcement, not a completed in-game test. Use the source cards to inspect the developer’s wording and keep your own tested build attached to any conflicting observation.
