What Update 6 confirms

NerveLabs added controller rolling in Update 6 and identified the binding as the right button. The same update says controller quantity selection was greatly improved.

Those are the only input assignments established here. They do not supply a complete layout, dead-zone settings, supported-device list or a promise that every menu can be operated without a mouse or keyboard.

Test quantity selection in the relevant menu

The official note describes controller quantity selection as improved, without publishing a button sequence. Check the current on-screen prompts whenever a quantity picker appears rather than copying an older layout.

If selection still fails, name the exact screen and action. Inventory quantity selection is a narrower claim than full controller support across every interface.

Console-key rebinding is a separate change

Update 8 says the console key is rebindable. That is a keyboard-binding fact, not evidence for a default console key or a controller sequence that opens the console.

Only `resetcamera` and `changeappearance` are included in the official command guide. A rebindable console key does not validate item, quest-stage or teleport commands found elsewhere.

Describe a controller problem clearly

  • Confirm Update 8 plus Hotfix 10 is installed.
  • Name the controller model and whether it is connected by cable or wirelessly.
  • Identify the exact menu or gameplay action that does not respond.
  • Record the on-screen prompt instead of assuming another controller's labels.
  • Separate rolling, quantity selection and console access into distinct tests.

What the patch notes do not establish

The official notes do not name supported Xbox, PlayStation or other controller models, and they do not assign a formal full or partial controller-support rating. They also do not confirm Steam Deck compatibility or any console release.
