Use the southern-shore clue
The official Update 7 description says the mirror washed up on the southern shore. That is the verified location clue. It does not support an exact coordinate, a drawn shoreline route or a claim that every nearby POI is an unlock requirement.
Use the current map and accessible POIs to approach the southern shore, then search the visible coast. A route should remain landmark-led until a precise path is verified in the current build.

Follow the Southern-Shore Clue, Not a Coordinate
- Southern shoreUse the official area-level location clue.
- MirrorThe official function is changing race.
- Non-host characterUpdate 7 documents a single-player change path for that character.
- Appearance commandchangeappearance is a separate feature.
What the mirror changes
The mirror is officially documented as a way to change race. The registered announcement does not establish a price, item cost, cooldown, one-use limit or effect on unspent progression choices.
Read every live confirmation message before accepting the change. Do not assume the mirror also changes appearance settings that belong to a separate feature.
Non-host co-op characters
Update 7 specifically says non-host co-op players can change race in their single-player game to affect their multiplayer characters. That statement is narrower than a general claim about host migration, save ownership or every co-op slot.
If the result does not appear in co-op, confirm which player is the host, verify the race change in that character's single-player state and record the build version before reporting the mismatch.
Appearance command versus race mirror
The official `changeappearance` console command was added alongside the mirror in Update 7, but the two descriptions are not interchangeable. Use the mirror for the documented race-change function and the command only for its documented appearance function.
